Canceling Norton auto renewal stops your subscription from renewing and charging you automatically at the end of the current billing period. Your protection stays active until the subscription expires.
How to cancel Norton auto renewal
Follow these steps to turn off auto renewal through your account:
- Sign in to your Norton account ➝ https://my.norton.com/
- Go to My Subscriptions. In the upper right corner, under the Your Initials/My Account, click onto the My Subscriptions link.
- Find the active subscription you want to manage.
- If your Norton subscription renewal is active, there will be an option to Manage Renewal (a link circled in red on the screenshot 1)
- Confirm your choice when prompted.
After you confirm your choice and complete the on-screen steps, Norton disables the auto renewal option for that subscription.

What happens after you cancel auto renewal?
Once you turn off the auto renewal option:
- Your current subscription remains active until its expiration date
- You will not be charged again automatically
- You can renew manually later if you choose
Canceling auto renewal does not uninstall Norton or disable protection immediately.
Why don’t I see a cancel or auto-renew option?
If you don’t see an option to cancel Norton auto renewal, one of the following may apply:
- You already turned off auto renewal.
- You bought the subscription through a third party, such as the App Store, Google Play, or a retailer.
- You’re signed into a different Norton account than the one you used to make the purchase.
In these cases, you must manage the renewal through the original seller or platform.
Can I turn auto renewal back on later?
Yes. You can re-enable Norton auto renewal at any time from your Norton account before the subscription expires. This ensures uninterrupted protection if you decide to continue using the service. To activate your Norton Subscription auto-renewal, clicking onto the yellow Activate Auto-Renewal button from the Screenshot 3 will lead you through the activation process. Norton may ask you to enter your payment method.
