My Norton software shows an incorrect subscription date. I know I still have many days remaining. What can I do to fix this?

There are a few reasons why your Norton security software may be showing your subscription as expired while it is not.
In some cases, users buy a new product instead of renewing it. In some other cases the installed software cannot query the server properly because of network/Internet connection problems or simply because a user is not signed in. Or, you may not have installed the correct Norton product that you have purchased.

Here is what can be done from a user’s side in order to try fixing this subscription expiration problem:

Check The Subscription Status From Within Your Norton 360

When you open your Norton 360 app on your PC, if you are logged in, look into the upper right corner. The number of days of the remaining subscription is shown left from your initials. On the screenshot below, it shows “207 days left.”

If you are logged out, there will be no your initials in the upper right corner, but it will state “Logged out” as on the screenshot below. You have to click onto the section that is underlined in yellow, and you will be taken to the subscription details. There, you will see the number of remaining subscription days, even with being logged out. In the example below, it shows “Active Subscription (207 days left).”

Check The Subscription Status In Your Norton Account

Sign into your Norton Account (go to https://my.norton.com/) and click Download Norton link/button. Follow the on-screen instructions and open the file to start the installation process. Continue following the on-screen instructions.

If none of the above helps, contact Norton Support.
