How do I turn off disk optimization/defragmentation in Norton?

To turn OFF the disk optimization managed by your Norton 360 software:

  • In your Norton’s main window, on the left side, click Settings (1st screenshot)
  • In the Features tab, scroll down to the Performance section, and click to open Optimize Disk option (2nd screenshot)
  • In the Optimize Disk window, click the Settings tab (3rd screenshot)
  • In the Settings tab, use the options to configure how Norton 360 manages your PC’s disk defragmentation
  • To turn the defragmentation/optimization OFF, for the Automatically optimize drives on this PC option, click the switch to move it to the OFF position
