• Operating Systems supported – except for Avast Premier which is Windows only, we could easily omit this part, but decided to present it just to ensure a reader is aware of OSs in game here. Windows is covered from XP (Norton and Avast only) to Windows 10. Mac OS X is listed as 10.8 and up. iOS support varies from iOS 8 and up, depending on a vendor. Android is listed from version 4.x and up.
• Virus removal – 100% Guarantee – this is a heavy statement which is truly backed and supported as Norton LifeLock obviously wants you to trust Norton 360 solution, and therefore offers money back if the protection fails. Other vendors do not feature such promise.
• Backup and Restore – Norton 360 overshadows all other comparison participants as it's the only one providing PC backup and restore with secured online storage of up to 500GB. Kaspersky "includes" Dropbox online storage service which can be obtained for free anyway (up to 3GB). ESET, McAfee, Avast and Trend Micro come with no backup features, nor online storage.

Of all other vendors listed here, only McAfee provides its McAfee Identity Theft Protection Standard as a part of selected package. Norton provides three different identity theft protection levels, as per package names: Select, Advantage, and Ultimate Plus.
